Music to my ears

Since it's still too cold and icy to walk the dog I'm finally getting back to blogging.  A few months ago I discovered a website called Jango, where you can listen to music for free, and create your own playlists.  Today I figured out how to add a Jango feature to my blog, so listen away!  My other project for this month is to check out Skype, so that I can use it to "see" my parents and my kids.  Is it my imagination, or do the kids really begin to shun new technology as soon as too many adults start figuring it out?  I'm pretty sure my kids have found a way to make it look like they're not online when I try to send them instant messages--just sometimes, though.  And although I know many adults who are using Facebook now, my kids give me a certain look whenever the subject comes up, which I take to mean that they don't want me as their "friend".  I guess that' s OK, as long as I can still be their mom!  Now I'm off to the post office to mail them some Valentine goodies.

Your turn

Give it a try!  I think you can now comment without having to create an account, but I won't know for sure until you let me know.  You wouldn't want me to think that my friends are "too old" for this would you?

testing

now I'm testing another comment option...I'll get back to you if it works!

how to comment

Since I'm not a huge college football fan, today is turning out to be a good day for blogging.  Here's what I've figured out so far about how you can post a comment.  Start by clicking on the word 0 comments (not on the little envelope!)  If some of you do comment, it will say some number of comments, but it's still right there under each of my posts.  When you click on that you will find a white box in which you can type whatever you want.  I suggest you copy your comment before you try to post it, because if you are unsuccessful at the next step you will lose what you have written.  When you're done typing go to the "comment as" drop down menu.  If you have an AIM account or you use Gmail you can select either of those and log in that way, although in my limited experience it's rather involved.  The easiest choice is to select "anonymous".  The only problem with this is that your comment will eventually show up on the blog under the heading "anonymous said..."  I'm still working on a way to get around this, but in the meantime, if you want others to know that you're the author of a comment, please identify yourself at the end of your comment just as you would in a letter or an e-mail (e.g. "cheers, Kim").  Hope to hear from you soon!
